~Life to Eagle~

The Path to Eagle is a long path, one with a lot of time, effort, sweat, and commitment.  The path begins early in a Scout's life and continues for many years.  It is a hard path, but one that's rewards can not be matched.  We are so very proud of our scouts who have already acheived the Life Rank and are actively working on acheiving the Eagle Rank.

My project consisted of constructing three picnic tables which will be placed on the patio of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School. These tables will be utilized not only by the students and staff of the school but the entire parish of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The tables will serve as a place to eat, do craft projects and socialize during the many community related activities taking place at the church and school.

Build & Install a Mammal Pre-Release Cage for TWRC (Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition)

Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition, Inc. (TWRC) is an organization of permitted wildlife rehabilitators, professionals and volunteers.

TWRC’s mission is to promote environmental conservation in two ways:

To rehabilitate and release injured, orphaned and ill Texas wildlife

To provide education and instruction in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation

This cage will be used by one of the TWRC licensed rehabilitators to house small mammals (squirrels, opossums, rabbits, raccoons) until they are healthy enough and/or mature enough to survive on their own in the wild.

The cage consists of several panels that will be built at my home and then transported to a rehabilitation center for final assembly.

<More Info about cages can be found here>
